Halong Bay, located northeast of Haiphong, is a part of the Gulf of Tonkin, covering 1,553 km2 and adorned with numerous limestone karst formations.
This bay is home to 1,969 islands and islets, most of them remaining untouched and uninhabited due to their rugged terrain. Halong Bay has been celebrated as Vietnam's most beautiful landscape for centuries and gained UNESCO World Heritage status in 1994. It's also a famous filming location, featured in the movie "Indochina" starring Catherine Deneuve.
During the cruise, you can enjoy various weather-dependent activities, such as exploring caves, scaling limestone peaks for panoramic bay views, kayaking, and even swimming in the open sea.
In the late afternoon, the boat will anchor in a designated area for the night. You'll savor lunch and dinner on board, featuring an excellent seafood menu. You'll spend the night in a private cabin on the boat.
